Camry Central Locking Failure

Experiencing an issue with my 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The central locking system has ceased to function. Doors can no longer be locked or unlocked using either the key fob or the interior switch. I scanned the car's computer, and an error related to the locking mechanism is stored. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, and if so, what steps did you take to diagnose it?

Hey, that sucks. I remember when my old Corolla's keyless entry went kaput – total pain. Have you checked the fuses related to the central locking system? It's a simple thing, but often overlooked. Could save you some serious cash if it's just a blown fuse.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did inspect the fuses, and they appear to be intact. I also examined the wiring harness near the door jamb, but I couldn't identify any obvious signs of damage. Is there a specific diagnostic procedure you would recommend to further pinpoint the source of the fault?

Yeah, if the fuses are fine and you've checked the wiring, it could be a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Honestly, tracing that stuff can be a real nightmare without the right tools. Probably best to get a professional to take a look. Could save you a lot of headache in the long run.

I appreciate the advice. Given the complexity of the system and the potential for further complications, I have decided to take it to a trusted workshop. The diagnosis confirmed a defective plug connection and the repair cost was 95€. Thank you again for your time and assistance.
