Camry Tire Pressure Warning Light

Hi, I have a 2014 Toyota Camry with a gasoline engine. Lately, the tire pressure warning light has been on. The speedometer shows a "Tire pressure too low" error, and the error memory also stores a fault. I've checked the tire pressure manually with a pressure gauge, and all tires are properly inflated. Could this be a sensor issue?

Hey there! Sounds like a pain. I had almost the exact same problem with my old Opel Astra, and it drove me nuts for weeks! Same symptoms - light on, error message, but tires were fine. Did you already check the air valve?

Thanks for the info! I haven't checked the air valve specifically. What should I be looking for?

Well, in my case, it wasn't the valve itself, but the whole sensor unit. Turns out, the battery in one of the tire pressure sensors died. With the Opel, it was around the same mileage as yours. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. Just go to a workshop and have them check it out, it's probably the sensor. They can read the error memory and tell you exactly which one is faulty.

Thanks! I took your advice and went to a workshop. You were right, it was a faulty tire pressure sensor with an empty battery. They replaced it for 280€. Everything is working fine now!
