Captiva electronic parking brake failure
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Chevrolet Captiva's electronic parking brake has failed, with a persistent error and warning light. The suspected cause is the electric motor in the brake caliper. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by confirming the caliper as the problem before sourcing parts. It is advised to have a workshop confirm the diagnosis before proceeding with repairs.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The error is persistent, unfortunately. It's always on. Did you ever fix your Peugeot's brake issue?

Yeah, eventually. It was the electric motor, like you suspect. Aftermarket parts are difficult to source, so I would have a shop confirm the calliper is the issue before ordering parts. Repair cost me a similar amount to what you are anticipating.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I will take it to the workshop for confirmation and parts sourcing.

Sounds familiar. I had the same symptoms on my old Peugeot 308. Electronic parking brakes are a pain. Is the error message persistent, or does it sometimes disappear?
