Captur Hybrid Engine Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Captur Hybrid with 203,217 km is experiencing engine problems, including a check engine light, reduced power, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling. The suspected cause is a mixture preparation error, potentially due to a defective injector, though concerns about the catalytic converter were also mentioned. After professional diagnosis, the issue was confirmed to be a defective injector, which was repaired for 515€.

Thanks! I'm averaging around 5.2 L/100km. Did you also experience jerking when accelerating and stalling at idle, as well as the check engine light? Was it indeed a mixture preparation error as well? What was the final diagnosis in your case?

Yep, jerking and stalling exactly like you described! Honestly, I got freaked out and took it straight to a workshop. They sorted it out, but I don't remember exactly what they did. Best to get it checked!

Thank you for confirming my suspicions and sharing your experience! It seems prudent to have it professionally diagnosed. I've taken it to my local mechanic, and it was indeed a defective injector. The repair cost me 515€. Hopefully, this resolves the issue permanently.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same symptoms with my Captur! Check engine light and all. Though, I don't know what any of those fancy terms you used actually mean. What kind of mileage are you getting?
