Thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate it. I tried to find a fuse just for the fuel system, but couldn't find one. I'll try cleaning the connector. Do you remember what fixed your Megane? And how much it cost?

Cleaning the connector didn't fix it for long on my Megane. The light came back on after a week. I had to replace the fuel level sensor unit. It's inside the fuel tank, so they had to drop the tank. I'm not saying yours is definitely the sensor, but it's worth thinking about. I'd get it checked out at a good shop before replacing anything. Better safe than sorry! The repair was around 60€.

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation and sharing your experience with the Megane. I appreciate the suggestion to get professional help; that seems like the best idea. The mechanic confirmed the fuel level sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the final cost was 52€. Everything's working now. Thanks again!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Same thing, check engine light and stalling. It ended up being a bad fuel level sensor. Did you check for a fuse specifically for the fuel system? Sometimes there's a separate one just for that. Also, have you tried cleaning the sensor connector? Corroded connectors can cause weird problems.
