Cayenne Hybrid's Audio & Nav System Total Blackout

My car had its latest service about 2 months ago at 88,608 KM, and I haven't seen any warning messages before this happened. The issue just popped up suddenly yesterday morning when I was heading to work. It's weird because everything was working perfectly fine the day before. I've tried the basic stuff like restarting the system and doing a hard reset, but no luck. Your speaker issue sounds similar, though mine's affecting the nav system too. Did your navigation work normally when you had your audio problems?

Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, actually now that you mention it, I did have some nav issues along with the audio problems in my Panamera, but I didn't connect the dots initially. The nav system would either freeze or not start up at all, sounds pretty similar to what you're experiencing. In my case, it turned out the speaker problem was just part of a bigger electrical issue with the PCM (Porsche Communication Management) unit. When they fixed the bass speaker, they also had to do some sort of software reset/update on the PCM system to get everything working properly again. The total repair ended up being a bit more than I initially mentioned, closer to 600€ with the additional work. Since your car is newer than mine and just had service, I'd definitely take it back to the dealer. Could be something as simple as a loose connection after the service, or maybe something similar to what I experienced with the PCM unit. Either way, I wouldn't mess around with it too much on your own since these systems are pretty complex. Let me know what you find out, I'm curious if it's the same issue I had. These hybrid models can be a bit tricky sometimes with their electronics!

Thanks so much for all that detailed info! That definitely helps, especially knowing about the PCM connection. You're right, I think I'll take it back to the dealer tomorrow morning. I've got a feeling it might be something similar to what you experienced, especially since both the audio and nav are affected. I'll probably mention your PCM situation to them too, might help them diagnose it faster. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I'll update the thread once I get it sorted out, might help others with similar issues down the line. Thanks again!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2019 Porsche Panamera Hybrid last year. I have some experience with cars, but I'm no expert. My audio system was acting up, no sound at all. Took it to my local Porsche workshop and they diagnosed a faulty bass speaker that was causing the whole system to malfunction. Cost me around 280€ to get it fixed, but it's been working perfectly since then. What year/trim is your Cayenne exactly? Also, have you noticed any warning messages on the display before this happened? This info would help me understand if you're dealing with the same problem I had.
