Ccrosser Airbag Warning Light

The airbag warning lamp on my 2008 Citroen Ccrosser diesel is constantly lit. I've checked all the fuses, and they seem okay. It started a few days ago and hasn't gone away. The car has 121609 km on it. Could it be a faulty sensor or something? It's really freaking me out because of safety!

Had a similar problem with my old Renault. Airbag light came on, solid as a rock. Turned out to be a dodgy connection under the seat. Might be worth checking those connectors under the seats – give them a wiggle, see if the light flickers or goes out? Could save you a trip to the shop. Have you also checked the wiring loom?

That's interesting! Which connector exactly? Under which seat? I'm not really a car expert, so any more detail you can give me would be great. What do you mean by wiring loom?

It was the connector for the side airbag in the driver's seat, but honestly, just have a feel around under both front seats. The wiring loom is just a bunch of wires bundled together. To be honest, I wouldn't mess with the airbag system if you're not sure what you're doing, could end up making things worse. Best take it to a shop. Airbag deployment is not something you want to happen by accident!

I took it to the workshop, and they said it was a defective cable or plug connection. The final repair cost was 95€. Now the restraint system works again.
