CCrosser automatic transmission shifting issues

My 2009 Citroen C-Crosser, gasoline engine, has an automatic transmission acting bonkers. Implausible shifting, transmission indicator light on, sometimes refuses to shift. Even went into emergency mode. I've checked basic stuff, but I'm starting to think the automatic transmission oil is worn out. Could undervoltage be the culprit?
