Ccrosser engine overheating air flap fault

I'm writing about a potential issue with my 2009 Citroen Ccrosser with a gasoline engine. It has 222343 km. The check engine light is on, and the engine is overheating. Scans point to an active air flap fault. Has anyone else had this with their Ccrosser? I suspect it's a defective electromechanism in the thermal management system.

Hey! I had something similar happen with my Ccrosser. Check engine light, overheating, the whole shebang. I'm no expert, but could it be the motor that controls the air flap? Is the flap stuck open or closed, maybe?

Could you tell me more about the issue you had? Did your scan also show an active air flap fault, and what did you do to fix it?

Yeah, the scan said something about the air flap. I didn't mess with it myself, took it straight to the shop. They said the flap motor was kaput. They replaced the whole unit, and it fixed the overheating. Probably best to get it looked at.

Thanks for sharing. Based on your experience and the scan, I'll book a workshop appointment for an inspection and electromechanism replacement. The estimated cost is around 590€.
