Ccrosser Engine Smoke Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Citroen Ccrosser is experiencing a check engine light, reduced power, and smoke during acceleration, with diagnostics indicating a potential crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. The symptoms, including bluish-white smoke, suggest oil might be entering the combustion chamber, possibly due to a faulty PCV valve or vacuum leaks. A similar case involved diagnostic codes for excessive crankcase pressure and lean fuel trims, leading to a confirmed faulty PCV valve. It is recommended to seek professional diagnosis and repair to prevent potential engine damage.

I've visually inspected vacuum lines, but haven't done a thorough leak test. The PCV valve looks intact, but I haven't tested its internal function. The smoke is bluish-white. Could you share specifics of your experience, like diagnostic codes or repair steps?

Bluish-white smoke suggests a crankcase ventilation problem, possibly drawing oil into the combustion chamber. My diagnostic codes were for excessive crankcase pressure and lean fuel trims. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed a faulty PCV valve. Given the smoke and potential engine damage, I'd recommend a professional diagnosis, especially if you lack tools for testing crankcase pressure.

Thanks for the advice. I'll schedule a workshop appointment for diagnosis and repair. For future reference, the final repair cost was 360€, including parts and labor.

I had something similar with my Ccrosser. Check engine light, power loss, and smoke strongly point to a crankcase ventilation issue. Have you checked for vacuum leaks or the PCV valve? What color is the smoke?
