Ccrosser engine stalling fuel pressure issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Citroen Ccrosser diesel experienced stalling at idle, reduced engine power, and a check engine light, with a fuel pressure error code appearing after a fuel filter change. The issue was suspected to be related to the fuel pressure regulator or possibly the fuel rail pressure sensor. After replacing the fuel pressure regulator, the problem was resolved, and the car returned to normal operation.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought about the fuel rail pressure sensor. Could a faulty sensor really cause such a big performance drop, including stalling?

Well, in my case, it did! The symptoms sound very familiar. It could be something else, but I'd suggest getting the fuel pressure regulator checked at a workshop. Better safe than sorry, especially with fuel pressure issues. You don't want to risk damaging the engine.

Thanks for the advice. I had the fuel pressure regulator replaced as you suggested. The error entry was indeed the cause. The repair was 45€, and the car is now running smoothly again.

That's a tricky one. I also have a Ccrosser, though I can't recall the exact year. I once had similar symptoms – check engine light, rough idle, and a noticeable drop in power. Did you check the fuel rail pressure sensor? I had a similar experience and there was an entry in the ECU.
