Ccrosser uneven idle
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Citroen Ccrosser diesel exhibited uneven idling and stored an error in the memory. The initial suspicion was a faulty engine mount, but visual inspection showed no damage, leading to the hypothesis of a bad connection. After cleaning the cable connection to the mount, the error was resolved, and the idle returned to normal, confirming the issue was indeed with the wiring.

Good question. Visually, the mount looks okay, nothing obviously broken or torn. Hence the suspicion about the wiring. I mean, could a faulty signal from the mount cause the engine management system to go haywire and mess with the idle? Anyone know where the cable runs, and is there a plug that could be corroded or loose?

Right, I get it now! If it LOOKS okay, but the computer's throwing errors, definitely sounds like a sensor issue. A dodgy signal makes sense if the idle's uneven. Honestly, tracing wires is a nightmare for me. At this point, if it's not obvious, I'd take it to a workshop. Better safe than sorry, right?

Thanks, you've confirmed my suspicions about the wiring and plug. Turns out, it WAS the cable connection to the mount! Cleaned it all up, and the error's gone, and the idle's smooth as silk. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted at the shop. Cheers for the advice!

Whoa, that sounds rough! An uneven idle is always a pain. I had a similar issue on my old car, but it turned out to be something completely different. You're suspecting the engine mount, huh? Is it visibly damaged, like cracked or something? I wouldn't have guessed a bad connection could cause that, but I'm no expert!
