Yeah, sounds like the same problem I had. Honestly, I took it straight to a workshop. They confirmed it was a flap issue, so you might want to do the same.

Thanks for the advice. I had the car inspected at a workshop, and they confirmed a defective exhaust flap. The repair was 190€, including parts and labor. It's fixed now.

Hey, I had similar symptoms on my Celica. Loud exhaust, especially when cold. Suspect your flap actuator. Check for exhaust blockage too.
