Chevrolet Bolt immobilizer issue

My 2016 Chevrolet Bolt (electric engine) won't start at 166091 km. Sometimes it starts briefly, only to stop again immediately. There's an immobilizer error stored. I suspect the key signal is not correctly programmed. Anyone experienced something similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Chevrolet Bolt experienced starting issues, with the engine stopping immediately and an immobilizer error present. The problem was suspected to be related to incorrect key signal programming. The solution involved taking the car to a workshop where the key was reprogrammed, resolving the issue and allowing the car to start without problems.

I had something like that happen with my Bolt. Does your security light stay on? Mine did the same thing, kept stalling right after starting. It was super frustrating.

Yes, the security light is on. I suspected that it might be connected. What did you do to resolve it?

It was indeed the immobilizer. I tried a few things, but honestly, I just took it to the workshop. They reprogrammed the key, and it's been fine ever since.

Thank you for the information! I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed that the key programming was incorrect. They reprogrammed the key. The repair cost was 45€. The car now starts without issue.
