Chevrolet Lova Sunroof Initialization Error
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Chevrolet Lova is experiencing a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunblind and convertible top to malfunction. The issue is suspected to be related to recent coding changes, leading to a loss of memory in the sunroof system. A suggested solution is to have a workshop reset the sunroof control module, which resolved a similar problem for another owner.

Exactly! Lost its memory is the perfect description. So, what did you do to fix it? Did you have to replace the whole sunroof system, or was it something simpler?

Nah, no need to replace the whole thing, thankfully! It sounds like the same issue I had. I'd say save yourself some trouble and take it to a workshop. They can probably reset the sunroof control module. It’s like a software glitch, they just need to reinstall the program.

Thanks a lot for the tip! You were spot on. Took it to a local garage and they managed to reset the sunroof system for 75€. Seems like all is working as expected again! Appreciate your help!

I had something similar happen with my Lova. The sunroof went totally haywire after some electrical work. Does it feel like it's lost its 'memory' of where it should be? Like when your computer freezes and forgets what program was open?
