Chevrolet Move Charge Air Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Move is experiencing issues with the charge air temperature sensor, indicated by a check engine light, reduced engine power, and unusual noises. The problem is suspected to be related to a faulty cable or plug. A similar issue was resolved by inspecting the wiring harness for damage or corrosion, particularly at the connector. Ultimately, replacing the defective connector resolved the problem.

Thanks! When you checked the wiring harness, was the damage easy to spot, or was it hidden? Any specific spots I should look at? I'm trying not to replace parts I don't need.

For me, the corrosion was pretty obvious when I looked closely at the connector itself. It was causing a bad connection. If the wiring looks good, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They have the tools to properly diagnose it. It might be the sensor itself.

Thanks! I was right about the connector. It was defective. Cleaning the contacts didn't fix it, so I replaced it. The total cost was 95€. Thanks again!

I had almost the exact same symptoms on my old Opel Corsa! Check engine light, whistling, the works. I thought it was a vacuum leak at first, but it turned out to be the same sensor issue. Did you check the sensor's wiring harness for any damage or corrosion?
