An exhaust leak, huh? I hadn't considered that specifically. Where exactly should I be looking for a leak? Any specific areas known to be problematic?

With my Opel, it was a crack near one of the joints in the exhaust manifold. If you can't easily spot it by eye, maybe feel around (when the engine is cold, of course!). Honestly, though, for something like that, a workshop's inspection might be the best bet.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on about the exhaust leak. Turns out there was a crack in the exhaust system, and they repaired it. Cost me 265€, but the car runs smoothly again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa, though not exactly the same symptoms. Check engine light and jerking acceleration too. Have you checked for any obvious exhaust leaks? That could throw things off.
