Chevrolet Move power window failure

Hi, I've got a problem with my 2014 Chevrolet Move with a gasoline engine. The power windows have stopped working completely. Both front windows are stuck, and I can't operate them at all. I also scanned the car with an OBD2 reader and found an error stored in the error memory related to the window control. I suspect it might be the power window switch that's defective, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyone experienced something similar?

Summary of the thread

The conversation centers around a 2014 Chevrolet Move with a power window failure, where both front windows are non-operational. An error code related to the window control was detected, leading to suspicion of a defective power window switch. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the faulty switch, which is a common problem. The suggested solution is to have the power window switch checked and potentially replaced by a professional.

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my Chevy Move, though I can't recall the exact year. My power windows went kaput all of a sudden. I was suspecting the window motor or perhaps a jammed window track, but it turned out to be something else. Did you check the fuses? Also, have you tried wiggling the wires going into the window switch? Sometimes a loose connection can cause this.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they seem to be fine. I haven't tried wiggling the wires yet, but that's a good suggestion. What was the actual problem with your Move when you had this issue? Was it also showing an error code?

Yep, mine also threw an error code related to the window regulator. After some fiddling around and checking the wiring, I gave up and took it to a workshop. They diagnosed a faulty power window switch. Apparently, it's a common issue. So, based on your symptoms and the error code, it's highly likely that your power window switch is also defective. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional.

Thanks a lot for the info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll take your advice and bring it to a workshop to get the power window switch checked. They confirmed that the power window switch was defective, and after replacing it, everything is working fine now. The repair cost me around 200€. Thanks again for your help!
