Chevrolet Move sun blind issue
Summary of the thread
The sun blind of a 2011 Chevrolet Move is not functioning, as it fails to retract or extend and shows a fault in the error memory. A faint whirring noise suggests the motor might be struggling. The issue is likely due to a defective sunblind motor. Replacing the motor, preferably at a workshop for proper alignment and functionality, resolves the problem.

Yes, now that you mention it, there's a faint whirring sound, almost like the motor is trying to work, but struggling. Does that confirm your suspicion about the motor?

That whirring sound confirms my suspicion. In my case, the sunblind motor was defective. While you could try to replace the motor yourself, sun blinds are tricky mechanisms, so a workshop is probably a better idea. It will ensure everything is properly aligned and functioning.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and you were right, it was the sunblind motor. Replacement cost me about 330€. Everything's working perfectly now.

I have a Chevrolet Move too, though a slightly older model. I experienced something similar with my car sunshade. The symptoms sound familiar. Is it making any noise when you try to operate it?
