Chevrolet N400 Engine Won't Start
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Chevrolet N400 with a gasoline engine wouldn't start, and the dashboard lights were not illuminating. The suspected cause was an issue with the engine control. A suggestion was made to check the battery cable connections, as loose or dirty connections can prevent the engine from starting by disrupting power to the ECU. Cleaning the battery cable resolved the issue, and the car started successfully.

Thanks for the tip! So, you're saying a loose or dirty battery connection can actually stop the engine from starting completely? I thought it would just struggle to crank.

Yes, that's what happened to me. The ECU wasn't getting enough power due to the bad connection, so it wouldn't allow the engine to start. I'd still recommend you go to the workshop to let them do a quick check.

Thanks a lot! It was indeed one of the cable connections of the battery. I cleaned the cable and the car started! Paid 155€ at a local workshop, because I didn't have the tools to measure the current, but now all is working OK!

I had a similar problem with my N400 a while back. Check your battery cable connections. Make sure they're clean and tight. A bad connection can cause all sorts of weird issues with the ECU and prevent the engine from starting.
