CHR Error Messages Vehicle Coding

I don't have the exact fault code on hand, no scanner at home. And no, no recent electrical work or changes. I was hoping to avoid a trip to the mechanic, is there anything else I can check myself before taking it in?

Without the specific fault code, pinpointing the exact issue is difficult. Given the symptoms and the fact that no recent work has been done, the incorrect coding you suggested is a probable cause. I would recommend a diagnostic scan by a qualified technician to confirm and rectify the issue.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop and you were spot on. Turns out the vehicle coding was incorrect. They recoded it and the error messages are gone now. Cost me 360€, but at least it's sorted.

Regarding your Toyota CHR, could you provide the specific fault code that is being displayed? Also, have you recently had any work done on the vehicle's electrical system or any software changes?
