CHR handsfree microphone failure

Interesting. I have a CHR as well and had similar symptoms a while back. Wireless connection kept dropping, voice recognition was useless, and the sound quality during calls was horrendous, filled with ambient noise. Did it happen suddenly, or did you notice a gradual decline in performance?

It seemed pretty sudden, actually. One day it was working fine, the next nothing. I've checked all the basic settings, Bluetooth connections, etc. I'm wondering if there's a specific module that handles the microphone that might have failed. Was your issue exactly the same, and what was the resolution?

Yeah, the symptoms were identical. Tried everything software-wise, but no luck. Eventually, took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a fault within the infotainment system itself. Unfortunately, it wasn't a cheap fix. Ended up costing me around 815€ to replace the unit. Might be worth getting yours checked out by a professional.
