Citan EV high voltage system error

My 2023 Mercedes Citan Electric is acting up. I keep getting a high-voltage system error message. The motor randomly shuts off, leading to reduced engine power. The error memory suggests a potential battery drain or defective battery. Could it be the electrical wiring causing a system malfunction? Has anyone else experienced this EV problem? What fixed it?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar high-voltage system issue with my Citan. Has any work been done on the battery or charging system recently?

No recent work at all. That's what's puzzling! Did yours cut out completely, or just limp along?

Mine was cutting out completely. It turned out to be a faulty battery module causing a massive battery drain. I'd get it checked at a workshop quickly before it damages something else.

Thanks! I took it to the shop, and you were right – a defective battery module was causing the high-voltage system to fail. It cost me 290€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks again for the help!
