Citroen C1 central locking failure

Central locking on my 2005 Citroen C1 (gasoline engine) has completely failed. Key and button don't work. Diagnostic tool shows an error in the locking system's error memory. Could it be a defective cable or plug? Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem a while back. Have you checked the fuse box? A blown fuse can cause that. It’s a simple check before diving into more complicated stuff.

Thanks! Could you point me to the correct fuse? I'm not very experienced with that.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly which fuse it is in your car. But if you've got the car's manual, the fuse layout should be in there. If the fuse is alright I would advise you to go to a workshop.

Fuses were fine, so I took it to a local workshop. They confirmed a defective plug connection, repaired it for 95€, and now the central locking is working perfectly again! Thanks for the help.
