Hey, thanks for your reply! Good to know that the workshop can fix it. Do you remember how deep you had to dig into your pocket to get it fixed? And since then, have there been any other problems, or is your C3 still running smoothly? Looking forward to your feedback!

Hey, no problem, you're welcome! Jo, I still have the bill from back then in my head. I paid a total of €2120 for the repair of the automatic gearbox converter. Quite a lot of money, but after that the problem with the malfunctioning torque converter lock-up clutch was solved and the car ran like clockwork again. I haven't had any more problems since then, my C3 is still running great. Hope this helps you! Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the info! 2120 € is quite a lot, but safety comes first. It's reassuring to know that your C3 is running perfectly after the repair. So now I'm going to take it to the garage and have it checked. Thanks again for your help and advice! Drive safely, guys!

Hey, I had a similar experience with my 2009 Citroen C3. The symptoms were almost identical: jerky gears, grinding noise and howling. It turned out that the automatic transmission torque converter was faulty - just as you suspect. At the garage, they had to check the entire torque converter lock-up clutch and then they replaced the faulty torque converter. It was definitely a serious matter because the car's gearshift no longer worked properly, making driving unsafe. But after that, my C3 ran like clockwork again! So don't worry, I'm sure they can fix it at the garage. Good luck!
