I had similar symptoms on my C5. Check your spark plugs and ignition coils. Rough idle and poor throttle response can be caused by faulty ignition components. Is the check engine light flashing?

Thanks. I considered the ignition components. The check engine light is constantly on, not flashing. Were your symptoms identical, and did replacing the spark plugs/ignition coils fix it completely?

Mine was constantly on too. Plugs and coils helped a little, but the problem persisted. It turned out to be a faulty injector after a workshop visit.
