Citroen C5 fuel flap issue

Hi, I've got a 2022 Citroen C5 with a gasoline engine and I'm having a weird issue with the fuel flap. It won't open. The central locking and everything else seems fine, but I get an error message, and it says some vehicle functions are unavailable. I've checked the fuses, but they seem ok. The car has only done 35729 km. Any ideas?

Greetings. Your predicament seems familiar. I encountered a similar problem on my 2018 Volvo V60; the fuel door would not release, accompanied by an error notification. In my case, the issue stemmed from a malfunctioning lock actuator. Does the error message provide any specific diagnostic trouble codes?

Thanks for the quick reply. No specific codes, just a general error regarding vehicle systems. How did you eventually resolve the issue with your Volvo?

In my particular instance, the root cause was indeed the fuel door lock actuator. I recommend you take your vehicle to a qualified workshop for thorough diagnostics. Given the symptoms you described and the error messages, there's a high probability that a faulty actuator or a defective linkage is preventing the fuel door from releasing. I think you would be best served by having it checked over by a professional.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! It was indeed the fuel flap lock actuator. The repair cost 210€. At least it's sorted now!
