Yes, fuel efficiency has taken a hit and it feels as if the air flow is irregular. What was the problem, and what was the solution?

Sounds very similar to what I experienced. It was indeed a defective throttle body. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop. Cost me around 265€ for replacement. A good workshop will make a diagnosis before doing the repair.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop and you were right; it was a defective throttle valve which has now been replaced, at a cost of 265€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Citroen C5, although I am not sure of the build year. Check engine light, and the car felt like it was struggling to get power. Has your fuel efficiency also decreased? How's the air flow?
