Citroen C6 low tire pressure ABS and steering issues

Hi, I'm experiencing a weird issue with my 2010 Citroen C6 2.7l diesel. I'm getting a low tire pressure warning. At the same time the ABS lamp lights up, the steering wheel vibrates heavily, and it requires considerably more effort when steering. Mileage is at 193507 km. Could a defective tire valve cause all these symptoms, or is it more likely a punctured tire?

Whoa, that sounds nasty! I had something similar happen in my Citroen C6. Got the low tire pressure warning alright, but didn't have the ABS thing going on. Steering was a bit wonky though, like the power steering was cutting out. I was driving on eggshells until I got it sorted!

Interesting. Did your car also show multiple symptoms? And if I may ask, how was the issue fixed in the end?

Yep, pretty much the same deal – low pressure alert and the steering getting heavy. I was convinced I had a flat, but the tire looked fine. Turned out to be a faulty valve in the tire pressure sensor leaking air! Took it to a workshop, they replaced the valve, and all was good. I'd get it checked out ASAP.

Thanks for the info! I suspected something along those lines. I'll take it to a trusted workshop and have them check the tire valves. The workshop confirmed that the valve in the tire was indeed defective. Repair cost me 280€ incl. a new valve and labour.
