Citroen C8 Climate Control Failure

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2014 Citroen C8 with a gasoline engine. The climate control panel has completely stopped working. I get an error stored in the memory, the heating is barely working, and the air conditioning refuses to switch on at all. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 Series – different car, I know. The symptoms were almost identical: climate control dead, error codes, and the heating was intermittent. Turned out to be a dodgy connection in the wiring harness. Have you checked the plugs and wiring going to the climate control unit?

Okay, on the BMW, it was behind the center console, which meant dismantling part of the dashboard. Probably best to get a workshop to check the cable or plug connection of the component. They have the tools and know-how to diagnose electronic faults quickly.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on! The mechanic found a loose connector in the wiring to the climate control panel. They cleaned it, reconnected it, and it's all working perfectly again. Total cost was only 95€!
