Citroen Nemo immobilizer issue

My 2011 Citroen Nemo with a gasoline engine won't start. It sometimes starts for a second and then dies. Mileage is at 95233 km. I scanned it and there's an error code related to the immobilizer. Could the key be the problem?

Sounds like an immobilizer fault. Is the key light flashing on the dash when this happens? If so, the key probably isn't being recognized. Did you try the spare key?

Yeah, the key light is flashing. The spare key does the same thing. Is there a way to bypass the immobilizer?

Bypassing the immobilizer is tricky. It's there to stop thieves. Since both keys are causing the same issue and it's throwing an error code, it sounds like you need to get the key re-programmed at a workshop. They can hook it up and sort it properly.

Okay, thanks! Took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. The key programming was messed up somehow. They reprogrammed it for 45€ and now it runs great.
