City Rear Ventilation Issue

Hi, I have a 2020 Honda City hybrid and I'm experiencing issues with the rear ventilation. The air conditioning is no longer cooling, and I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, alongside a malfunction of the climate control unit. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Honda City hybrid is experiencing issues with the rear ventilation, where the air conditioning is not cooling, and an error is stored in the error memory indicating a malfunction of the climate control unit. The problem is likely due to a faulty connection to the flap actuator in the climate control system. The suggested solution is to have it checked at a workshop, where a defective cable or plug connection can be identified and repaired, as confirmed by a similar past experience.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a few years back. Turned out to be a faulty connection to one of the flap actuators in the climate control system. Was the error message specific at all?

Not really, just a generic fault code relating to the rear ventilation flap. Did your Astra show the same symptoms – no cooling in the back?

Yep, exactly the same. No cooling, error code, the works. I'd say it's worth getting it checked out at a workshop. A defective cable or plug connection could well be the culprit.

Thanks. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Defective connection to the flap actuator. Cost 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!
