Civic Hybrid cruise control failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Civic Hybrid experienced cruise control failure, with the system refusing to engage and displaying an error message. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to check the pedal switch, but ultimately, a workshop diagnosed and confirmed a faulty connection, leading to a successful repair.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't checked the pedal switch yet. Is it difficult to access and test? I'm fairly comfortable with basic diagnostics, but I don't want to start ripping apart the interior if it's a complex job.

It's not terribly difficult to get to, but honestly, after messing with it for a while, I just gave up and took it to a workshop. They ran a diagnostic and found it was a faulty connection. Saved me a ton of time and headache. Maybe it's worth considering?

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Based on what you've said, and the likely cause, I'll take it to my local mechanic. I can confirm that the final repair bill was 95€, the connection was defective!

I had a similar problem with my Civic. The cruise control would just randomly stop working, and the error light would pop up. I checked all the obvious stuff like fuses, but no luck. It was really frustrating. Did you check the pedal switch?
