Thanks for the tip! I've visually inspected the cable and plug connection, and they seem okay, no obvious damage. But maybe there's corrosion inside I can't see? How did you resolve your problem exactly? Was it really just a loose connection, or something more serious?

Well, I am not sure if mine was exactly the same, but my mechanic said it was a faulty connection somewhere around the fuel filter, causing similar issues. I would suggest taking it to a workshop, they will know better. It sounds like you've done what you can. Better safe than sorry with a diesel engine, you know?

Thanks! You were right, I took it to the workshop and they confirmed a defective plug connection to the fuel filter heater. They replaced it and cleared the error code. Cost me 95€, but the engine runs smoothly again, no more power loss or uneven idling!

I had a similar problem with my CLA, although it was some time ago. I also noticed a power loss and rough idling. I'm not a mechanic, but maybe check the simple things first? Like, is the connection to the fuel filter heater secure? I'm not sure if it's the exact same thing, but I'd definitely start there. It could save you a lot of money. Did you check the fuel filter itself?
