Clarity damping adjustment fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda Clarity EV was experiencing a damping adjustment fault, resulting in a warning light and a rough ride. The issue was traced to defective cable and plug connections to the shock absorber, specifically a slightly corroded pin inside the connector. After replacing the connector, the error was cleared, and the vehicle's ride quality was restored.

Thanks for the tip! The cable and plug connections... so you mean, like, visually inspect them for damage or corrosion? Did you get a specific error code? I'm trying to narrow this down before I start ripping things apart.

Yeah, visually inspect them first for any obvious damage - loose connections, frayed wires, corrosion, that sort of thing. Honestly, though, even if they look okay, the issue might still be there. In my case, it was a slightly corroded pin inside the connector itself. The code I got was related to the front left strut damping control, if I recall. Best bet is to take it to a workshop though, if you're unsure. They should be able to diagnose it properly. Quick fix, hopefully!

Appreciate the help! Turns out you were spot on with the cable/plug connection being defective! Workshop confirmed, 95€ later, all good! New connector, error cleared, smooth ride restored! Thanks again!

I drive a Clarity too. I had a similar issue a while back – bumpy ride, warning lights. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the shock absorber? That's where I'd start looking. Seems like a common culprit.
