Clarity Engine Start Failure

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Honda Clarity hybrid. It has about 51382 km on it. Yesterday, the engine just wouldn't start. No noise, nothing. I'm not very car savvy, but I checked the engine light, and it's on. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Honda Clarity hybrid experienced an engine start failure, with no noise and the engine light on. The issue was identified as a loose battery cable connection. The suggested solution was to check and tighten the battery cable connections, which resolved the problem after a visit to a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Clarity. Check your battery cable connections. If they're loose or corroded, that could be the culprit.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly are the battery cable connections I should be looking at? And what should I look for besides loose?

They're near the battery itself, pretty easy to spot. Make sure everything is properly connected, clean any corrosion you see and tighten the screws. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to visit a workshop.

It was indeed a loose connection on the battery cable! Cost me 155€ to get it sorted at the local workshop. Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction!
