Clio engine overheating electric fan issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Clio with a gasoline engine was experiencing high engine temperatures due to the electric fan not activating, despite the fan spinning freely when checked. There were no error codes stored. The issue was traced to a faulty cable and defective plug connection to the fan's motor. After addressing the connector issues, the problem was resolved, and the fan functioned correctly.

Thanks! I haven't checked the connector and wiring closely, just the fuses. Where should I look, and what should I be looking for?

On my Corsa, the connector was near the radiator, behind the fan. Look for corrosion, loose wires, or damage to the connector. If unsure, get help from a workshop to avoid electrical problems.

Thanks for the advice. The cable was faulty and the plug defective, like you said. The mechanic charged me 95€ to fix it. Everything works now!

Sounds like what happened with my old Opel Corsa. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the fan's motor? A corroded connector stopped the fan from getting power sometimes.
