Clio hybrid oil pressure warning
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Clio hybrid with 235,796 km is experiencing an oil pressure warning and mechanical noises despite having adequate oil levels and a recent oil change. The issue is likely due to a defective oil pump, which is not circulating enough oil, causing low pressure and engine noise. The recommended solution is to replace the oil pump promptly to prevent further engine damage, which resolved the problem in this case.

Yes, exactly! Like a metallic orchestra of destruction. What was the cause of your problem? And how painful was the cure?

Yep, sounds like the oil pump. It wasn't pumping enough oil, causing the low pressure and the noise you describe. Get it to a workshop ASAP. Continuing to drive it like that will cause more damage. The workshop confirmed defect in the oil pump and quoted 755€ for the whole repair.

Thank you for your advice. It turns out it was indeed the oil pump. Got it replaced, and the Clio is running smoothly again. The final bill was 755€, so your estimate was spot on. I appreciate your help!

Sounds eerily familiar. I had the same issue with my Clio. Was the noise like a bag of spanners being thrown around?
