Clio parking sensor fault

My 2011 Renault Clio diesel has a parking aid fault. The parking assistant is completely non-functional, and there's an error code stored. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced this? Repair cost estimated at 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Clio's parking sensors. Check the ultrasonic sensors first; they're often the culprit. Sometimes it's just a loose connection or grime. Have you checked the wiring near the rear bumper? Corrosion can mess things up. Does the error code point to a specific sensor or the control module?

Thanks for the suggestions about the ultrasonic sensors and wiring. Could you elaborate on your experience? Did the error code specify a particular sensor, or was it a more general fault? I'm trying to avoid replacing parts unnecessarily.

The error code was pretty vague, something about 'parking aid malfunction'. I spent ages fiddling with the sensors, cleaning them, etc., but no luck. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They traced it to a corroded connector in the wiring harness near the bumper, like I said. Saved me time and potential headaches. Probably best to do the same.

I appreciate you sharing your experiences. Based on your recommendation, I'll take the car to a trusted workshop for a comprehensive inspection of the wiring harness and connectors. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue without needing to replace any major parts. Thanks again for your insight.
