Clio preheating lamp issue

Has anyone experienced a preheating lamp issue with a 2017 Renault Clio diesel? It has 171982 km, the lamp doesn't switch off, and an error is stored, likely a defective glow plug.

I own a Clio as well. Sounds similar to an issue I had. Did you notice any decrease in fuel efficiency or rough engine behaviour at startup, like a misfire? It's like a faulty spark plug in a petrol engine.

Now that you mention it, there appears to be a slight decrease in fuel efficiency. I had attributed it to weather, but perhaps it is connected. However, I do not notice any rough engine behavior or misfires. Could it be just the glow plug?

The symptoms do point to a defective glow plug. I would advise you to have it checked at a workshop. In my case, replacing the glow plugs resolved the issue. Continuing to drive with a faulty glow plug can potentially affect engine combustion.

Thank you for the information. I will schedule an appointment at the workshop to have the glow plugs replaced. The estimated repair cost is approximately 440€. I appreciate your insight.
