Indeed, that's an apt description! It's almost as if the car is fighting against itself until it reaches operating temperature, especially when the weather is colder. Were the symptoms you experienced identical to mine? What did the garage diagnose?

Absolutely, almost identical! My mechanic mentioned something about the PTC heater being faulty, and told me that it wasn't getting enough power to warm up properly. I'd suggest going to a workshop and getting it checked out, as it sounds like it might be the same issue. They quoted me 350€ initially!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Clio, think it was the heating element too. Does it feel like the car's struggling to warm up on colder days? Like trying to run through treacle?
