Clio rear window heating issue

The auto defrost functionality appears to be impaired, yes. Is it plausible that a weak battery would selectively impact the rear window heating and windshield heating while other electrical systems function normally?

That's precisely what happened in my case. The ECU seems to prioritize other systems when the battery voltage drops, leading to the heating circuits being disabled or underpowered. Given the error code and the impaired auto defrost, I'd strongly suggest getting the battery tested professionally. I ended up at the workshop with a bill of 290€.

I appreciate the confirmation. I will schedule a diagnostic appointment to assess the battery condition and the heating system. Thank you for sharing your experience; it has been most helpful.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Clio, though it wasn't the exact same model year. Check your battery's health first. A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins, including issues with the rear window defroster. Does the auto defrost work?
