Clio Smartphone Connection Error

I have a 2001 Renault Clio with a diesel engine, mileage 191987 km. There are function restrictions. The smartphone cannot be connected and an error is stored in the error memory. Incorrect pairing with the end device is the likely cause. Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem with my Clio. Same symptoms, phone wouldn't connect. Was there an engine light on?

No engine light, but could the fuel system malfunction be connected? Diagnostics pointed towards electrical faults.

Ah, mine was the ignition system. If the diagnostics are showing electrical faults, best take it to a workshop. I managed to sort mine out there.

Thanks for confirming. Took it to the workshop, and the repair cost was 45€. Issue resolved.
