Thanks for your response! Apart from the issues I mentioned, I'm not experiencing any hesitations during acceleration. It's primarily the shifting and the noises that are the main problems. Did your Clio exhibit the same symptoms, and was it indeed the control unit?

Yep, sounds very similar to what I went through. Paddle shifters dead, the whole nine yards. I'd say get it checked at a workshop; it does sound like the control unit is the culprit.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice! It's relieving to know someone else experienced a similar issue. I've already booked an appointment with a trusted mechanic. They quoted me around 1000€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Hopefully, replacing the control unit will resolve all the problems.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Clio. Automatic gearbox issues are a pain. Was it doing anything else weird, like hesitating when accelerating or anything?
