Clio Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor Fault

I've got a 2022 Renault Clio hybrid and I'm having some trouble. The engine warning light keeps popping up, and sometimes the transmission warning light as well. I pulled the error codes, and it seems to point to a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor. I've noticed the gearbox is sometimes in emergency mode. Also, it occasionally slips or shifts really roughly, and there's a grinding noise sometimes. Could low gearbox oil be the culprit?

Hey, I have a Clio too. Not sure about the exact year though. I had similar issues with the shifting and the warning lights a while back. What's your mileage at? It could be a range of things, but did you check the transmission oil level?

I'm at 154285 km. How did you eventually fix it? Was it the oil level?

In my case, I never actually checked it myself - but the workshop told me the oil level was very low. It caused similar symptoms to what you're experiencing. To be honest, with those symptoms, it's probably best to get it checked out by a professional. Could save you money in the long run!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on. The transmission oil was indeed low, and the sensor was faulty. Total repair cost was 365€ Appreciate the help!
