Clio Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Clio hybrid is experiencing issues with the engine and transmission warning lights, rough shifting, and grinding noises. Error codes indicate a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor, and the gearbox sometimes enters emergency mode. The problem is likely due to low transmission oil levels and a faulty sensor. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional, which confirmed the low oil level and faulty sensor, leading to successful repairs.

I'm at 154285 km. How did you eventually fix it? Was it the oil level?

In my case, I never actually checked it myself - but the workshop told me the oil level was very low. It caused similar symptoms to what you're experiencing. To be honest, with those symptoms, it's probably best to get it checked out by a professional. Could save you money in the long run!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on. The transmission oil was indeed low, and the sensor was faulty. Total repair cost was 365€ Appreciate the help!

Hey, I have a Clio too. Not sure about the exact year though. I had similar issues with the shifting and the warning lights a while back. What's your mileage at? It could be a range of things, but did you check the transmission oil level?
