Clipper transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Nissan Clipper is experiencing transmission issues, with the transmission indicator and check engine lights on, erratic shifting, slippage, and grinding noises. The problem is suspected to be a defective radiator oil pressure sensor or its connection. After consulting with others, it was suggested to check the coolant level and cooling fan operation, as overheating could also cause similar symptoms. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by fixing a faulty connection to the sensor, confirming the initial suspicion.

Thanks! I don't see any coolant leaks, and the level seems okay. How can I check if the cooling fan is working right? Any diagnostic tips?

If the engine is getting hot and the fan isn't turning on, that's a good sign of a problem. But with the transmission issues and error codes, I'd get it checked by a workshop. It could be more than just a sensor.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and it was a faulty connection to the radiator oil pressure sensor, costing 95€. Your advice helped me get it fixed quickly!

I have a Clipper and had something similar. Did you check the coolant level? Is the cooling fan running properly? A faulty sensor could be it, but these symptoms can also be from overheating.
