Interesting. Where exactly is the crash sensor located, and is it something I can easily check myself, or should I get a workshop to look at it?

On my Astra, it was behind the front bumper. Given that it's related to the airbag system, I would strongly recommend getting a qualified technician to diagnose it to avoid potential airbag deployment issues. This is an important safety aspect of your car.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – a defective plug connection was causing the issue. The repair cost me 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, although the symptoms were slightly different. The root cause turned out to be a faulty crash sensor. I would strongly suggest you check it out.
