CMAX Auxiliary Heater Issue

Thanks for the reply! I haven't noticed anything unusual with the climate control or blower motor, everything seems normal when the engine is running. It's only the parking heater that's giving me grief. Did you end up replacing the glow plug, or was it something else?

In my case, the symptoms were remarkably similar, yet the underlying cause proved to be more complex. The glow plug was indeed defective. However, replacing it did not entirely resolve the issue. Further investigation revealed corrosion within the heater core, impeding optimal function. Given the intricacies of modern heating systems, and the potential for unforeseen complications, I would strongly advise seeking counsel from a trusted workshop.

Appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop and get it checked out properly. Sounds like it could be more involved than just the glow plug. I'll post the resolution. Turns out it was the glow plug and the repair set me back 440€, all in.

I experienced something similar with my Ford CMAX – although it's a newer model. The symptoms you describe, the parking heater refusing to activate and the error codes appearing, are indeed indicative of a potential issue with the heating system. Given your mileage, the glow plug is a distinct possibility. Have you observed any unusual behavior from the climate control system in general? Perhaps inconsistent heating or unusual noises from the blower motor?
