CMAX handsfree microphone failure

Hi, I have a 2016 Ford CMAX diesel, and the hands-free microphone has stopped working. Telephony isn't possible, and the error is stored in the error memory. Anyone had similar issues?

I have a CMAX too, and I experienced something similar a while back. Was the voice recognition also affected? For me, the ambient noise seemed to be picked up far more than my actual voice, making commands impossible. Check your audio input settings too. It might be a Bluetooth issue. How are your volume controls behaving?

Yeah, voice recognition is shot too. Ambient noise is through the roof. Where did you find the audio input settings?

Okay, if voice recognition and ambient noise are also affected, it's highly likely to be an issue with the infotainment system itself. In my experience, it needed a replacement. If you have the same symptoms, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out. I had the same error stored in the error memory. The eventual repair was 815€.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like exactly the same problem. I booked it in. Seems the infotainment system was defective. Now it is fixed, same cost as yours!
