Cold start problems with a BMW 525d F11 - should I check the glow plugs?

Hello Community, I own a BMW 5, model year 2013, with a diesel engine and 195,000 km mileage. I have the problem that the engine takes longer to start when cold. The battery is new, so I suspect it could be the glow plugs. My question is: Can I check the glow plugs somehow with my Carly adapter? My 525d F11 starts poorly sporadically and I want to make sure the glow plugs are okay. Thanks in advance for your help! Regards Jürgen

You can use your Carly adapter to check for any fault codes related to the glow plugs or the glow plug control module. This can help identify if there's an issue with them. If no fault codes are present, you might want to manually test the glow plugs with a multimeter to check their resistance. Let me know if you need further guidance or if you have any updates!
